"I ask you, instead, to be revolutionaries, to swim against the tide; yes, I am asking you to rebel against this culture..." -Pope Francis World Youth Day 2013
Re·bel (r -b l )
intr.v. re·belled, re·bel·ling, re·bels
1. To refuse allegiance to and oppose by force an established government or ruling authority.

n. reb·el (r b l)
1. One who rebels or is in rebellion.
So what do we consider a rebel today? Is it wearing revealing or crude clothing? Or perhaps having tattoos, piercings and/or other body disfiguration? Or perhaps excessive drinking and drug use? Or maybe it is simply doing what our parents tell us not to do?
Whatever the case may be, I believe that those of you that ‘rebel’ are in fact NOT rebels but followers. You claim to be rebelling against the government, parents or society but I insist that all these ‘rebellious’ acts are so common today and accepted that it is no longer rebellious but typical and accepted behavior. Now let me explain to you what or rather who the original True Rebel was.
The original True Rebel was Jesus Christ. What did Jesus rebel against? That’s easy…the spirit of the world. He did what God had wanted us to do from the beginning. And as followers of Christ we become TRUE REBELS!
TRUE REBELS means:
True understanding
Renounce satan
Upholds traditional family values
Evangelizes
Rosary
Eucharist
Believes in one baptism
Eternal Word
Living it out
Seven sacraments
